Boston Diabetes and Endocrine Center opened its doors in June 2012 to address the growing diabetes epidemic.

Diabetes is among the most common health conditions in the United Arab Emirates today. About 18.9 percent Emiratis have diabetes and many of these people have yet to be diagnosed. In Dubai alone, nearly one in five adults have diabetes and it is among the top causes of death.

For early detection of diabetes and screening of healthy individuals Boston Diabetes and Endocrine Center plans to support research on diabetes in the UAE.

We are committed to educate the society about diabetes, how to manage their disease and avoid serious problems.

To provide the highest quality comprehensive diabetes care.

To raise public awareness of the needs of people with diabetes.

To provide education for people with diabetes and their families, as well as for the general public and medical professionals.

To conduct research in diabetes.

To disseminate tools to support national and local initiatives for the prevention and management of diabetes and its complications.

To raise awareness of the warning signs of diabetes and promote action to encourage early diagnosis.

To reduce the main modifiable risk factors for type 2 diabetes.
